Andrew Gatus completed his Masters in Clinical Psychology at Australian
Catholic University and holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science from the
University of New England. He has worked across multiple settings, including
private practice, community health, and child and Indigenous health. Andrew
uses an evidence-based approach incorporating cognitive behavioural therapy
and acceptance and commitment therapy in order to help clients to reach their goals. He has extensive experience treating stress, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and substance use, along with social skills and anger management difficulties.
Andrew has a special interest in trauma, anxiety, and dissociation, and is currently completing his PhD on the use of Virtual Reality in treating depersonalisation derealisation disorder. He has a relaxed and flexible approach to therapy, and is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of individuals in the local community.
