Jala has completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is experienced in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various psychological concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. Jala focuses on developing a therapeutic relationship built on respect and a shared commitment to positive change. Jala strives to support clients to not only improve their mental health but to also develop resilience and the skills needed to thrive in the face of adversity. Additionally, Jala has a special interest in supporting clients to foster healthy relationships, conflict resolution skills, and boundaries to encourage interdependence, through the application of attachment theory.
Jala comes from a values-based approach to guide individuals toward finding meaning and connection within their lives. She enjoys helping clients develop psychological flexibility through self-compassion, acceptance, and present moment awareness.
