Karen McCulloch completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the Australian Catholic University. She has had experience treating adults across the lifespan presenting with a range of psychological difficulties. This includes stress and PTSD, anxiety disorders (including OCD), depression, life transitions with a special interest in retirement challenges, relationship and interpersonal challenges including family and parenting difficulties.
Karen is a warm, compassionate, and empathic practitioner who works collaboratively with clients to achieve meaningful changes in their psychological well-being. Karen enjoys working with adults to build insight and understanding of present moment emotional stress and coping often connected to childhood events and trauma, and to enhance their coping resources and resilience in a safe and caring environment. Karen’s therapeutic practice is evidence-based. She draws her treatment approach primarily from schema therapy, Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks, and is tailored individually to assist clients with their unique circumstances and needs.
